"Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 494). This statement has been proved true many times in my life since I earnestly began the study of Christian Science, for varied have been my healings and great has been the enlightenment which they have brought.

My introduction to Christian Science was when I asked my college housemother what to do for a cold, and she replied that she could give me no material remedies as she was a Christian Scientist and did not use them, but that she would give me something to read which would help me. She loaned me a copy of the Sentinel, which I read, but, at the time, what I read did not seem to mean much to me. However, I do not recall having taken any material remedy, and the cold disappeared.

I became curious about this religion, and when I was invited by our housemother and another member of our house to attend a Christian Science church service, I went. I did not seem to grasp much at that time, but the seed evidently had been sown.
