FREEDOM
"You
are too ill," the tempter said,
"To study, think, or read.
Give up the struggle, go to bed;
A rest is what you need."
An angel thought came: "Have no fear;
Read on! The words are good.
Only be steadfast, persevere;
They will be understood."
As I obeyed, no longer came
The tempter's voice to me,
For lo, the words with love aflame
Had healed and set me free.
