MAN'S INDESTRUCTIBLE IDENTITY

The protective power of divine Love was known and demonstrated centuries before the beginning of the so-called Christian era, for we have these familiar words of the Psalmist's (91:2, 10, 11): "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. ... There shall no evil befall thee, ... for he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

Today this protective power is being realized and utilized through Christian Science, which reveals the eternal law that man cannot be deprived of or separated from all the good that God bestows or all the Life that is God. This Science also reveals the truth that no idea in God's universe can be lost, injured, or destroyed; that God's creation is complete and eternal, established forever. The declaration and realization of this truth brings protection to all those who are upholding the right and assures triumph over evil.

Man's identity, as the compound idea of God, embraces all right ideas. Christian Science explains this and shows that all the power there is, all the strength there is, all the force there is, is the power, strength, and force of divine Principle expressed through its ideas. Man is governed and guided completely by divine Principle. He cannot be placed in any position beyond God's protective care. His position is forever secure, his identity forever indestructible.
