Through the years I have been greatly encouraged and strengthened by the testimonies published in our periodicals, and I feel impelled to send my expression of gratitude for the healing and liberating power of Christian Science.

Over seventeen years ago, whilst my outlook on life was extremely bleak, I met a student of Christian Science who, seeing my need, told me that God is infinite good, and he quoted from Isaiah (55:8), "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord." This appealed to me, and I began the study of Christian Science by obtaining the textbooks, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Through this study and practice the Master's glorious promise (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," is being exemplified in my experience. Christ, Truth, is indeed making all things new. The study of Science and Health has deepened my love for the Bible.

The smoking and social drinking habits were healed during my first week's study, and colds, malaria, and other physical healings have been experienced. The help of dear friends and practitioners has aided my journey. Protection and healing on many occasions were experienced during my three and a half years of Army service overseas. I should like to express deep gratitude for the consecrated work of the Wartime Ministers. It became my joyous privilege to help others in the capacity of a volunteer Wartime Worker at Caserta in Italy. This was a fruitful and progressive experience.
