READING ROOM
I stepped
inside and there found peace.
A sense of calm bade discord cease.
"You came to read?—Right over there."
I sighed and dropped into a chair.
She seemed to know I had been led,
Gave me the book, and then I read.
I read the truth an hour, then two.
And when I rose, at last I knew
God wanted me to understand
That He is everywhere at hand . . .
That He is Life, Truth, Love divine.
I know that now, and peace is mine.
