Truly it has been said, "Mightier than armies is an idea whose time has come," as has been proved in the experience of our committee, representing the three churches in this city which recently established a Christian Science Reading Room in downtown, ground-floor, jointly-maintained premises.
I hereby express my heartfelt love and appreciation for our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for establishing The Mother Church and its activities, which are redeeming the world from sin, disease, and death through Christian Science.
This testimony is from one whose heart is overflowing with gratitude and is proof that Christian Science is a religion that heals.
I am indeed grateful for Christian Science and wish to testify to the great good that has come to me through this new-old Christianity.
It is my desire to express deep gratitude for the many blessings continually unfolding for our family in the study and application of Christian Science.
Christian Science came to me while I was taking nurses' training at a hospital in the United States.
About twelve years ago I turned to Christian Science for the first time and received a healing of a deep mental depression, which was the result of a period of great sorrow.
Because the testimonies of gratitude appearing in the Christian Science periodicals bring such a steady flow of inspiration and encouragement into our home, I should like to cite a few of the ways in which Christian Science has enriched my experience.
I attended a Christian Science church service when I was eighteen with a sister who had received a healing of a condition which had all the symptoms of tuberculosis.
Through the years I have been greatly encouraged and strengthened by the testimonies published in our periodicals, and I feel impelled to send my expression of gratitude for the healing and liberating power of Christian Science.
