This testimony is from one whose heart is overflowing with gratitude and is proof that Christian Science is a religion that heals.

My first healings came through reading the chapter on Prayer in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and studying its first statement: "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a Spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." I knew nothing of Christian Science up to this time, but a friend told me how it had healed a friend of hers. I was about to enter a hospital to undergo a fourth operation. This time it was for a tumor, a goiter, and several complications. Right then I decided to try Christian Science. Science and Health was given me, and I began reading it at once. In three weeks' time I was healed of these conditions, and I can truthfully say that Christian Science was my only physician.

Since then many other healings have taken place. I am very grateful for the laying off of glasses that I had worn for eighteen years. This healing came while I was working on The Christian Science Monitor advertising information committee of our branch church. Recently I witnessed the healing of my husband of the smoking habit in one absent treatment. I have also witnessed the healing of a loved one who was in a coma for more than two hours.
