It is my desire to express deep...

It is my desire to express deep gratitude for the many blessings continually unfolding for our family in the study and application of Christian Science.

I might say that I know something of the deep waters in which the carnal mind would engulf us, the testing times of fear, grief, and seeming frustration; but I can also say that I know much of the blessed joy which comes from acceptance and demonstration of spiritual truths.

Our two children were born at home under Christian Science treatment, and the birth of the second child came about so quickly that neither the practitioner nor the doctor, who was required by state law, was present. I was attended, however, by a capable Christian Science nurse who performed the delivery quickly and efficiently. The birth was a breech delivery, and it was several minutes before the nurse could get the baby to start breathing. However, the practitioner's unwavering and clear understanding of the truth soon wiped out this false picture, and by the time the doctor arrived, all was harmonious and normal. I experienced no after-effects whatsoever and was up and about in three days.
