About twelve years ago I turned to Christian Science for the first time and received a healing of a deep mental depression, which was the result of a period of great sorrow. Since that time my family and I have had many blessings through the study of this Science. I regard the gradual unfoldment in my understanding of God and my true relationship to Him as the greatest blessing of all. But for a happy home, adequate supply, the many healings accomplished through our own prayer and those effected with the help of consecrated practitioners, I am also humbly grateful.

I am grateful for Christ Jesus, who so perfectly and fully demonstrated this Science by his healing ministry and his resurrection and ascension, and for Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered the laws of this Science and subsequently founded the Christian Science church, which is pointing the way to eternal life. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for the privilege of taking part in church activities.
