This testimony of the healing power of Christian Science is offered that others may profit by it and also that I may express my long-delayed gratitude for what Science is doing for me and all mankind.

About five years ago Christian Science restored me to health and gave me new hope and courage. Although I had often heard of it, I had never known what this Science could do for man, and like many others was reluctant to accept its help when it was first offered to me by a loving neighbor. However, "man's extremity is God's opportunity," and when all else failed, I gladly turned to this religion.

While away from home and loved ones, I suffered a nervous breakdown. Unable to eat or sleep, I drove some forty miles to the nearest city and visited the office of a practitioner. As I was seated in her office, I fainted. I was brought back to consciousness and instantaneously healed. It seemed as though I had been on holy ground. I left her office uplifted and joyous and that night attended a Christian Science church for the first time. I received much peace from the testimonies. Although I did not know it then, I was also instantaneously healed of the smoking habit.
