I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and for the good received over a period of thirty years. I first learned of this Science when I was rooming in the home of a practitioner. There I had two instantaneous healings. Since that experience I have endeavored daily to put into practice my understanding of the truth. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 428), "The author has healed hopeless organic disease, and raised the dying to life and health through the understanding of God as the only Life."

With the help of a practitioner a goiter was overcome in three treatments. The full manifestation of freedom was not apparent, however, until one morning, as I was reading the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, these lines came to me with a new meaning (Mic. 5:4), "And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God." These words were illumined, and I knew that I was completely free of any appearance of inharmony.

My daughter throughout her early school years escaped all of the so-called children's diseases and in her college days passed all physical tests with an A.
