DEMANDING ABUNDANCE

What joy comes to the student of Christian Science when he glimpses the true nature of good! Because God, Spirit, is the only cause, good originates in Spirit. Therefore good is spiritual, and since it is spiritual, it is unlimited.

As he realizes this glorious fact about good, the student begins to lose his belief in limitation and gains a great sense of satisfaction and completeness. He finds that material wealth is no longer his desire, for he knows that it does not really satisfy. However, as he stops believing in limitation and accepts the infinitude of God, good, his human needs are abundantly met.

While the student is grateful for this, he is more grateful for some realization of the spiritual, unlimited nature of good. For example, he sees that God is inexhaustible Love, and that he himself is not a limited mortal, but is in reality the reflection of this inexhaustible Love. Dwelling upon the fact that divine Love is substance, and that as actually God's spiritual child he is ever consciously manifesting the nature of divine Love, he sees the spiritual understanding of these facts as the good which all really desire. He finds that true joy and satisfaction are gained in the measure that he daily reflects divine Love.
