When Christian Science was first presented to me, although I was in great need of its healing ministrations I spurned what I thought was its religious teaching, believing that the healing I had heard of were the works of the evil one.
The experience that changed my attitude toward Christian Science from skepticism and redicule to faith and respect, and that was the source of my desire to know more of this religion, occurred about thirty years ago, when through the loving help of a practitioner my brother was healed in one day of what the physician had pronounced typhus.
My first knowledge of Christian Science came to me through the healing of my mother when I was a very young girl, but it was many years later that I took up the study of it.
About fifteen years ago I had my first healing in Christian Science, and it was an instantaneous one.
The blessings of Christian Science have been mine since I was quite small, my mother having become interested in this religion when I was three years old.
It is sometimes well to think in retrospect of our experiences in Christian Science as a means to succor development, to stimulate progress, and to strengthen and confirm our understanding.
The testimonies of healing have been an inspiration to me on many occasions, and I sincerely hope that my experiences may give help and hope to others.
My first experience in Christian Science took place over thirty years ago when I was healed of chronic stomach trouble, from which I had suffered for many years.
