Protection on the Burma Road; tropical diseases overcome
So great and numerous have been my blessings since I began the study of Christian Science that I feel it would be sheer ingratitude to refrain any longer from writing this testimony.
I had early become dissatisfied with orthodox church teachings and so attended no church, until one Sunday I attended a Christian Science service, not for religious enlightenment, but to hear the soloist. I was so impressed by the atmosphere of love and well-being that I decided to attend regularly. In due time I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and to attend the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
Before coming into Christian Science, I was subject to severe headaches and weak stomach, being unable to eat certain kinds of foods without becoming quite ill. Both of these weaknesses fell away as I began to see my true nature as a child of God.
