Here is the way for all to aid in achieving world peace

"CITIZENS OF THE WORLD"

"The war ended almost three years ago, but we haven't yet achieved peace! In every newspaper one reads of strife!" Have you ever heard similar remarks? If so, what was your reaction? Had yon any constructive plan to offer for the world's peace? Did you seriously ponder present world conditions or thrust the question aside, feeling that there was nothing you could do about it? Perhaps you felt that it was the government's business to solve world problems and that you had enough personal ones of your own.

World conditions are, however, the concern of the individual, of you and me, and we can begin right now to set them right. The greatest contribution we can make in this direction is to purify our thoughts and thereby our lives. Until each individual does this, no governmental plans, no erudite theories, can achieve universal harmony and the end of war.

Are we at a loss to know how to do this? Then a statement by Mary Baker Eddy on page 227 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," should be of interest. She writes: "Citizens of the world, accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free! This is your divine right. The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being."
