Every man continually desires "newness of life." ...

I have found from personal experience that only one thing can make every day new—to begin it with God. New Year resolutions have no particular meaning, unless they come to life in action. Only one thing can make the new resolutions live—to begin each day in the kind of prayer which says: "Lord, I am weary of having my own way. Have Thy way in me in every activity, every responsibility, every work, and every play throughout this day."
