My whole outlook is so changed, and such great peace and joy have come into my life through the study of Christian Science, that I feel I must share my happiness through our periodicals by telling of a few of my many experiences.

About eleven years ago I woke one morning with a severe bilious headache, and although I tried all day to think clearly, the condition did not improve. I was living alone at the time, and towards evening I knew that I must make a great effort, as I was due to teach a class requiring considerable physical activity on my part, and I could not reach anyone either to cancel the class or to get a deputy for me.

Necessity forced me to take my stand for Truth, and the following clear statement came to my thought: "I am expressing joyous activity now." I clung to this statement, repeating it over and over again, and managed to rise, dress, and take a ten-minute walk to my destination. Up to the last second, when I stood facing the class, error tried to frighten me, but I once more mentally stated the truth, with rather grim and slightly desperate determination, and as I then gave the first command, all sense of sickness vanished on the instant, and I found myself literally "walking, and leaping, and praising God." This experience taught me that the time when error screams loudest is the moment of greatest temptation, when we should cling to Truth most firmly. Then error will flee.
