ENTERTAINMENT
"Entertainment " is a big, kind, generous word because it signifies a big idea. It means the open door, the kindly greeting, the hospitable table. If misused, entertainment becomes an evil, and sometimes a big evil.
To entertain a right idea means to love it, live it, and be blessed by it. To entertain a wrong belief brings confusion, and therefore discord. We are naturally watchful to open our doors to and entertain only those guests who come to us with a helpful and friendly purpose.
The generous host, when arranging a dinner for his friends, is discriminating in his choice of guests. He does not invite any who are likely to cause disturbance or introduce a discordant element. When the company is a large one, a servant announces the arrival of each guest, calling the name to the host as the guest enters. Those who have not received an invitation are not admitted.
