Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Toledo, Oregon (Society).

Below is a report of the history of Christian Science Society, Toledo, since its beginning in 1919. The church was dedicated on Sunday, August 14, 1949.

"In the year 1919 a group of sincere seekers for Truth met at a private home on Graham Street and held Christian Science services until the group, becoming too large for this home, secured a room near the old Methodist church on Grove Street. After this the Odd Fellows Hall was used for a time until more people became interested. Steps were taken in March, 1922, to form a Christian Science Society, and a room was furnished in the Andrews Building, where regular Christian Science services and Sunday School exercises were held.
