Since I first became interested in Christian Science, more than thirty years ago, I have received much help by following its teachings as revealed by Mary Baker Eddy, My first real glimpse of the truth was when a Christian Scientist was a visitor at the home of my uncle, where I was then employed. She read aloud that wonderful chapter on Prayer in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After she had finished reading I said. "I believe I have been a Christian Scientist all along and did not know it." After that I began the study of Christian Science in earnest with good results, I have received much help in dental work, have been freed of the tobacco habit, and have also had a wonderful healing of a severe case of barber's itch. I was instantaneously relieved of the symptoms of a cold while I was in a practitioner's office.

I was present at a Wednesday evening meeting when a woman said in her testimony that we must know Truth. I have thought of those words so many times since, and they have been of much help to me. Christ Jesus said (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." At present I do not attend church services, as there is no Christian Science church where I live, but the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly are a great help to me, as are the Christian Science periodicals for which I subscribe.
