BETHLEHEM AND BOW
Across
the centuries they meet,
though half a world apart,
their sacred stories cradled deep
in each receptive heart.
At Bethlehem the Christ appeared
God's fatherhood to show:
His motherhood was borne to earth
by one who came from Bow.
Each hillside town, where stars shone out
across the winter night,
brought forth a messenger whose work
has filled the world with light.
