Glorious Achievement
To every problem encountered in human experience there is an answer in the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
Success in all right endeavor is assured. Success is achieved when we recognize that man. God's spiritual idea, exists at the standpoint of perfection at all times. The following statement from the textbook contains the secret of success (Science and Health, p. 462): "Whoever would demonstrate the healing of Christian Science must abide strictly by its rules, heed every statement, and advance from, the rudiments laid down. There is nothing difficult nor toilsome in tin's task, when the way is pointed out; but self-denial, sincerity, Christianity, and persistence alone win the prize, as they usually do in every department of life."
Every Christian, regardless of race or creed, acknowledges the healing work of Christ Jesus, who healed both disease and sin and also raised the dead. Ever aware of man's unity with God, he acknowledged no selfhood apart from Him. The raising of Lazarus from death clearly illustrates this fact. His sisters and closest friends were ready to admit defeat, and undoubtedly thought that here was a problem without solution. Jesus, however, after asking that the stone be taken away from the place where Lazarus was laid, turned to God with the prayer: "Father I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always" (John 11:41, 42). Beyond all human sense of success was (his demonstration! Lazarus came forth from the tomb.
