Where Have They Gone?
Man is never for a moment separated from God, who is Love. Paul writes in Romans (8:38, 39) that "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God." Through the light of understanding thrown upon this passage by Christian Science we understand that, regardless of what appears to mortal sense, man is forever embraced in Love, which completely sustains him and makes it impossible for any belief to destroy him.
In a war-torn world there are thousands who are contused and grieved over heartbreaking experiences. One question often asked is, "How can Christian Scientists say there is no death when it appears to be in evidence on all sides?" Or, "How can they say there is no separation when every day brings hundreds of instances of those who are separated from loved ones?"
Christian Science is logical, and when rightly understood it meets every human need as surely as the principle of numbers makes possible the solution of mathematical problems. In either case, if the rule is known and properly employed, the answer must be correct. There is never a question asked that cannot be logically answered through the Science that our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has given to the world, even as there is no correctly stated mathematical problem without a solution.
