With boundless gratitude to God for Christian Science and for our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, I offer this testimony with the sincere desire that others may be helped by it.

As I look back over the years since Christian Science first came to my attention, I can see God's hand guiding me as I progressed from one experience to another. The following incident led me to investigate Christian Science. A child in a class that I was teaching fell down during the recreation period and hurt her arm quite seriously. The child's mother was sent for, and I was extremely fearful of her attitude, for I felt responsible for the child's welfare. To my amazement, instead of excitement and anger, the mother expressed calmness, gratitude, and love. I complimented her on her calmness, and she told me that I, too, might express it if I would but study Christian Science. When her daughter returned to school two days later, I decided to look further into this religion, for I was depressed and unhappy.

I began by studying the books by Mary Baker Eddy in the college library. Shortly afterward I started attending the Christian Science church, and I have been a student of this Science ever since. At last I had found the religion for which I had been searching, one which was to bring me much happiness.
