Standing on the Promises
It
is not love unto our God,
Nor to a brother, friend,
To see as real, and having power,
As growing stronger every hour,
The evils that portend.
It is not praise unto our God
To see Him less than All,
Or own another power may be
Enthroned in lives and destiny
While unto Him we call.
Dear Father, in Thy Word we find
All terrors flee away
When we our full allegiance give,
And in Thy loving presence live.
Then dawns the perfect day.
