For a number of years I have been benefited by the healing and protective influence of Christian Science, for which I wish to express my sincere gratitude.

I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for four years, and during part of that time was a member of a branch church. On becoming twenty years of age and leaving the Sunday school I became active in branch church work and a member of The Mother Church. I have known the blessings of that activity ever since. I am also grateful to have had class instruction.

Recently a physical ailment, similar to one from which my mother suffered just before she passed on, came to me. I felt very fearful and immediately telephoned a practitioner. When I could not reach him I declared that I was not alone and could get help straight from God. In a very few minutes the following quotation from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy came to my waiting thought (p. 75): "Jesus restored Lazarus by the understanding that Lazarus had never died, not by an admission that his body had died and then lived again." Then I realized that I had received a healing I did not know was needed—that of grief for my mother.
