Omaha, Nebraska (Second Church).
Two dedicatory services of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Omaha, were held on Sunday, January 7, 1945.
Organization of this church was begun in 1914 by a group of members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Omaha, who lived in the west section of Omaha. On March 17, 1915, Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Omaha, was recognized as an authorized branch of The Mother Church.
On Easter Sunday, 1915, the first service of the newly organized church was held in Hart Hall. Fiftieth Street and Underwood Avenue.
Later, services were held in the Dundee Theater and continued there until 1918. The cornerstone of the present building was laid on July 6, 1918.
The first service in the present auditorium was held on February 7, 1932. The building represents an investment of $225,000.
