"In Science"

When the term "in Science" is used in connection with man, it refers to man as he is known of God. This term refers to spiritual man and the spiritual universe as they are held and controlled by the all-powerful and immutable laws of God. Mary Baker Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, '"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 68), "Sometime we shall learn how Spirit, the great architect, has created men and women in Science." Such a statement points to the spiritual nature of man, and the impossibility of mortal man being the man of God's creating.

Man is at one with God and at one with all of God's ideas. He lives in a spiritual universe of God's creating. We need not go anywhere to find this creation; it is right here and everywhere, to be discerned and apprehended through Science and spiritual sense.

As we affirm man's coexistence with God, divine Love, matter, evil, human will, sin, disease, death—all error—are seen to be of an illusive nature. They are entirely apart from spiritual man, never touching him, never interfering with his harmony or severing the relation of Father and son. The allness of God cannot be invaded by an illusive opposite. If evil does claim to separate anyone from the great family of God, to cut one off from the great love and care of the Mother Love, it is only a false belief, and it is this false belief alone that needs to be annulled as groundless.
