Elisha's demonstration of the strength and presence of God on the mountaintop, and Elijah, when he disappeared from fleshly view and went up "by a whirlwind into heaven," are proofs of the reward of spiritual obedience and implicit faith.

The advent of Christ Jesus brought to the world a more comprehensible proof of the might and permanence of spiritual understanding, and left examples for us of this day to follow in order that we also may establish proof of divine power. "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." he said.
