About twenty years have passed since my testimony appeared in the Sentinel, and I feel I must again express my gratitude to God through the periodicals for the added blessings that I have received through Christian Science.

Over thirty years ago I had help in Christian Science for a serious condition of the eyes. The healing came so quickly that I gained little understanding of how it had taken place, and although I was grateful for relief I did not take up the study of Christian Science until many years later. Then, when materia medica had failed to heal sickness and there was no known remedy for a terrible sense of grief, caused by the passing of a baby daughter, I went to a Christian Science practitioner for help. The grief was healed almost instantly, and so many other healings took place in the next few months that it seemed as though we were living in a new world.

While we were still new students, I became ill one evening. I knew from many past experiences that this would have been called by the physicians tonsillitis in its most severe form. We decided to rely wholly on our own small understanding of Christian Science for healing. A member of the family began reading aloud to me from the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was unable to do anything except try to realize that God is Love. When I awakened the next morning I was completely free; there was not even weakness to remind me of what had seemed so very real the night before. Previously, when relying on material means for healing, I had usually spent weeks in bed because of these attacks, and then many more weeks regaining strength. This healing has been permanent.
