Many years ago the testimony of my first healing was published in the Sentinel. It was a truly remarkable healing, for it came as a result of the loving work of protection which was done for her household by an earnest practitioner of Christian Science.

I was a member of that household. I was very ill with an intestinal abscess and was under the care of a medical doctor, who had called in two other doctors to aid him in the operation which they planned to perform in the hope of saving my life. The night before the day set for the operation, the practitioner turned unreservedly to God in prayer for protection for her home and its members. She realized man's protection under all circumstances, as vouchsafed to him by the ninety-first Psalm. The healing came to me that night and was almost instantaneous.

In the many years that I have been a student of Christian Science, I have depended entirely on it for healing, and it has brought much peace and harmony into my life. The testimonies published in our periodicals have given me so much inspiration and encouragement that I want to share a recent healing, in the hope that those who read it may be encouraged, especially those whose healing has been long on the way.
