I am very grateful that I was led to take up the study of Christian Science about fourteen years ago, for it has brought me countless blessings, and has given me a greatly improved outlook on life.

I have had numerous healings, including those of constipation, indigestion, headaches, colds, eczema, an injury resulting from a fall, and a troublesome condition of the throat. Some of these healings took place as the result of my own work, and others with the help of practitioners. I was also healed instantaneously, through the help of a practitioner, of a painful internal difficulty, which had troubled me for a number of years. Christian Science was proved to be the Comforter indeed at a time of great grief.

I should like to tell of a healing I experienced recently. I am especially grateful for it, because it proved to be an opportunity to show forth the healing power of Truth to those around me. One day while I was at my work in a day nursery, a quantity of a disinfectant solution was accidentally splashed on the upper part of my face and eyes. I was glad I was alone for two or three minutes after this occurred, for I was immediately blinded, and for a moment fear gripped, me with the suggestion that my sight would be permanently impaired. I immediately denied this suggestion by declaring: "No! Sight is spiritual and cannot be injured or destroyed." I also declared, "Nothing has happened to God's child— all is well with His child." After a few minutes the matron found me, and led me to a room where I was able to rest alone.
