For thirty-two years I had been treated continuously by the best physicians, including nerve specialists and surgeons, and had submitted to nine major operations. At the end of this long period I was worse than I was at the beginning. I had been unable to prepare a meal or even wash the dishes for at least ten years.

When I was in the depths of despair, I decided to have Christian Science help. I did this off and on over a period of several years, with little improvement. When a Christian Science practitioner made me realize that the change must come first in my thinking, I began to improve, and in eight months' time I was able to do all my own housework, and some outdoor work besides. Today I can testify to the healing of mucous colitis, adhesions, constipation, low blood pressure, acidity, severe burning in the top of my head, and sleepless nights and nervousness. These healings took place through the study and practice of Christian Science.

Most of the time during the thirty-two year period of illness, I was on a very strict diet, sometimes living on milk and cream for as long as ten weeks at a time. Today I eat anything I care to, without discomfort.
