If our world can be one in spirit then all these other things—freedom and opportunity and peace— will be added unto it. If it is not one in spirit then there is very little that the economists or the politicians can do about it. They can patch it up. But they can't make it hold together.

That is why the great undertaking of our time is a spiritual undertaking. It is to discover the spiritual basis for oneness among men. It is to build a world society in the likeness of that discovery.
