I give this testimony in sincere gratitude for the many blessings I have received in Christian Science; for the guiding and protecting power of Truth and Love, as manifested in my early life and home, and later in my business and domestic experience. I also value the training and influence of Christian parents. At an early age I became a member of an orthodox church, and continued as an active member until I was healed in Christian Science of an exophthalmic goiter and complications. This healing took place in January, 1914, simply through my reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The healing has been permanent and I have had good health ever since.

I at once saw that this statement applied to me (Science and Health, p. 451): "Christian Scientists must live under the constant pressure of the apostolic command to come out from the material world and be separate." I asked for my letter of dismissal from my former church, and was soon admitted to membership in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. Later I became a member of The Mother Church.

For many years I have depended entirely on this Science in overcoming every discordant condition. In each instance when it has been faithfully applied, it has been an ever-present help and protection.
