I give this testimony with deep...

I give this testimony with deep gratitude to God for the many blessings I have received in Christian Science. On page 402 of Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Christian Science is always the most skilful surgeon, but surgery is the branch of its healing which will be last acknowledged. However, it is but just to say that the author has already in her possession well-authenticated records of the cure, by herself and her students through mental surgery alone, of broken bones, dislocated joints, and spinal vertebræ."

Because of financial difficulties and physical inability I was compelled to take refuge in an institution. Several years ago, while out on a pass with relatives, I was hurt when I fell on my hip. I shall never cease to be grateful to the practitioner who patiently helped me to realize the unreality of error. Two weeks later I was taken back to the institution on crutches. I was sent to a hospital ward, where I learned several days later, when an X-ray picture was taken, that the hip had been broken. Several doctors who examined me said it was the finest surgical setting they had ever seen and the bone was knitting perfectly. The doctors and nurses did not offer me any medicine, for I had told them that I wished Christian Science help only. I was told by the nurses that I should never walk again, but this statement has been proved untrue, for in three months another X ray showed the healing to be complete.

I am sincerely grateful to God and to Christ Jesus; also to Mrs. Eddy for having given us the truth that makes us free.—(Miss) Alma Stenberg, Chicago, Illinois.
