In the year 1911 I first become...
In the year 1911 I first became acquainted with Christian Science. Previous to that time I had been afflicted with deafness in both ears. Three times I visited doctors, but the relief I got lasted only a few weeks. Each time there was a recurrence of the trouble.
The fourth time the deafness occurred I sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner. I went to her house about nine o'clock in the evening and asked for treatment. She kindly consented to work for me. I went home and slept three hours. When I awoke my hearing was normal and has always remained so.
I am grateful for the many blessings I have received from the study of Christian Science, including the privilege of class instruction. For all things I am very grateful to God.—Arthur Kirkby, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.
