Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Pueblo, Colorado (First Church).

Dedication services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Pueblo, were held on Sunday afternoon, February 28 of last year, at the church, 1201 North Main Street. The history of the church was read and special music was presented.

The original group of members held their first meeting in a private house in 1889. The church was chartered in 1891. After several years of meeting in various homes, an old church building at Seventh and Main Streets was rented and repaired. Services were held there until May, 1906, when the building was razed. The church then secured the use of Temple Emanuel at Fourteenth and Grand Streets. Later, services were held in the church at Ninth and Court Streets.
