As a student of Christian Science I have had many interesting experiences, also many instances of divine help—some more outstanding than others. The first such experience occurred over ten years ago. At that time I was not a student of Christian Science, and I had been suffering from a dry, tight, body-racking cough. It came in spells and was using up my strength. Sometimes I would get relief, but it always came back. This time I had been ill a long time from it, and heavy sweating spells accompanied the cough. Although I had relatives who were Christian Scientists, I did not think of being cured by it.

Then my brother and his wife invited me to dinner on a Sunday. I decided to attend their church, a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and go home with them. I chose a seat near the door, so that if my cough started I could go out quickly without disturbing others. I sat in the balcony, not with my brother. The cough started and I could not control it, so I arose and went out. The usher opened the door for me. Scarcely had I passed through the door when someone seemed to say, "Go right back in." Thinking the usher had said it, I obeyed. Hardly had I become seated, when the cough started again; again I arose and left. As before, I heard the admonition, "Go right back in." I looked at the usher and said, "Did you speak to me?" Shaking his head, he replied, "No, I did not," but I obeyed the command. Sitting down, I turned my attention to the Readers, who were reading the Lesson-Sermon, and completely forgot about the cough. It had gone.

After the service I joined my brother and his wife, the cough was forgotten, and I went home with them. I did not cough any more. So completely had I forgotten it that not until I saw someone else coughing did I realize that I had been healed. Then I recalled that the cough had stopped on that particular Sunday morning. It has never returned. I have been studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy ever since. I thank God for showing me the way.—(Miss) Amalia E. Trautman, Lakewood, Ohio.
