For several years I have enjoyed reading the testimonies of healing in Christian Science published in the periodicals. And I have decided to share with others some of the blessings I have received through the study and the application of the truth as revealed in Christian Science.

It was in the darkest hour of my life that Christian Science came to me. I was struggling with a discordant physical condition caused by the birth of our son. Our family physician had advised a surgical operation, and I was terribly distressed by the doctor's prediction, when these words from the Bible came to me: "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick." Then the "still small voice" speaking to my consciousness said. Try Christian Science.

Immediately I borrowed a copy of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I read this book every spare moment. One day I realized I had been healed, perhaps instantaneously, for I was never conscious of the condition after I started reading the textbook. I have experienced many other beautiful healings. A badly sprained ankle and an eardrum, punctured while I was swimming, were healed through my reading of the textbook. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was healed in one week of a severe case of smallpox. Wrong thinking is being replaced with right thinking, unkindness with kindness, criticism with love for my fellow man, and a better sense of home is being realized.
