Victory over Materiality

Our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, viewed every circumstance and condition from the standpoint of spiritual victory. If it were palsy or fever or death or a hungry multitude, whatever problem presented itself, he had the sure, scientific Christ-knowledge which gave the complete mastery. No condition that was presented to him for healing could seem so fearful as to make him question the power of Truth to heal it. He knew, because he understood God, the unconditioned victory of good in every case.

This conquering understanding came from his conscious unity with his Father, divine Mind. Thus, he could demonstrate that where, to material sense, evil appeared to have power, to spiritual sense there were only the goodness and blessedness and joy which God created in the beginning and has always maintained.

This scientific knowledge of the presence and operation of divine Principle has been given to us through the revelation of Christian Science, that Christ Science which Jesus daily demonstrated.
