The St. James Leader

James Perry, Committee on Publication for Manitoba, Canada The St. James Leader

In a letter which was published in your paper recently, some comments were made relative to Christian Science which need an explanation.

"Science" is defined by Webster as "systematized knowledge considered in reference to the discovery or understanding of truth." In referring to the scientific basis of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy has written in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 123. 124): "Christian Science differs from material science, but not on that account is it less scientific. On the 'contrary, Christian Science is pre-eminently scientific, being based on Truth, the Principle of all science."
