It is with great joy that I give...

It is with great joy that I give this testimony expressing my gratitude for Christian Science and the healing which is assured through its study and application. I had heard something about a healing religion called Christian Science, but knew little about it. In February of 1928 it was my privilege to be in Boston, Massachusetts, for a few days. During my stay in one of the large hotels. I availed myself of the hotel library. The tables had a variety of magazines on them, all of which were covered with black leatherette coverings. I took up one of them and found it was The Christian Science Journal. I read all the articles in that Journal as well as the testimonies.

At this time I was suffering from an injured back, caused by a severe fall. Naturally after reading the wonderful healings given in the testimonies, I felt I had found what I most needed, a practical religion, able to meet every human need. When I returned to my home, which at that time was in Brooklyn, New York, I searched for a practitioner who would help me to learn more about the healing truth. God was with me, for I was divinely guided to one who was most qualified and consecrated in this work, and I was freed from my suffering and lameness in one treatment.

I have experienced many healings during the past fourteen years, and my daily problems have been solved through the understanding and application of the Christ, Truth. I am very grateful for all the periodicals, the lectures, and every activity of The Mother Church and all its branches. I am grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her untiring, unselfish, consecrated life, and for her work, which has enabled suffering, sinning humanity to be healed and saved. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and also for class instruction.—(Mrs.) Leona B. M. Ross, Indianapolis, Indiana.
