"He restoreth my soul"
Once
again God's Word has claimed me,
Once again His voice I hear,
Calling through the mist and darkness
Messages of joy and cheer.
All the mists that closed around me
Could not keep me in the gloom,
Could not stay my forward footsteps,
Nor my future witness doom.
For they were but flying phantoms,
only dreams of mortal sense,
When I understood my birthright,
Visualized omnipotence.
Then the gladness and the daylight
Entered in where all was drear,
And my heart with joy is singing,
God is everywhere, and here.
