With the earnest desire to help others as I have been helped by the testimonies given in our periodicals, I am sending the following account of an experience which proves convincingly that Christian Science heals, not only sickness of all kinds, but differences between members of one's family.

Many years ago I did something which offended one of my brothers so deeply that he cut me out of his life completely and would not even allow my name to be mentioned in his home. In one way I was very sorry, for he and I had been devoted friends; in another way I did not mind, for I knew that what I had done was right and had been blessed by God, as subsequent years proved. That unhappy condition lasted for eight years. In the meantime I had heard of Christian Science and had begun to study it, but I did not know that it could heal anything but sickness. At that time I was having help from a practitioner for some physical ailment. He knew nothing of this family trouble; but one day something that he said to me opened my eyes to the fact that all those years I had been in the wrong. I had been thinking of my brother as being not only unloving, but very stupid, and of myself as very forgiving, because I felt no sense of resentment towards him. Then I realized that I must change my thought completely and see him through the lens of Truth and Love.

I did not really know how to work in Christian Science, as I had not been interested in it very long; but I began declaring the truth that we were both children of the same Father-Mother, God, therefore equally loving. I worked along that line for about two hours, and then left the problem, feeling happy. For two days after that, whenever my brother came into my thoughts, which was very often, I declared the same truth, claiming always that he and I were children of divine Love. Then he went out of my thoughts altogether. This light came to me on a Wednesday.
