Declaration and Demonstration

Treatment in Christian Science definitely declares the truth regarding God and man. It shows that demonstration inevitably follows the understanding and application of God's law.

What does it mean to declare the truth and to witness the demonstration thereof? It means to affirm understandingly that which is, always has been, and ever will be true about God and His perfect creation, including man, as recorded in the first chapter of Genesis, and then to experience the effect of this spiritual knowing in freedom, health, and happiness.

Those unacquainted with Christian Science, as discovered and founded by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, have sometimes gained a wrong impression of the procedure of Christian Science treatment, or prayer, and have thought this treatment consisted of repetitions of certain phrases supposed to effect cures and bring about desirable results. Nothing could be farther from the truth, and such impressions indicate an ignorance of the Science of Mind-healing, as elucidated by Mrs. Eddy in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
