Spiritual Ideas and Daily Supplies

The teachings and demonstrations of Christ Jesus and his apostles clearly reveal that God, Spirit, has provided for the care and maintenance of man, and that humanity can here and now demonstrate this fact through obedience to spiritual law. The teachings of Christian Science, based on the spiritual fact, bring to mankind the scientific understanding through which the divine economy is proved available to meet our daily needs.

All inharmonies of material so-called life, whether want, woe, sin, sickness, strife, impurity, lack, are phases of the false sense of man as not possessing—as the image and likeness of God—everything that God expresses.

Christian Science reveals the demonstrable truth that individual man is spiritual, the reflection of God. The limited, finite sense of man as mortal and material can be corrected only by the understanding of the divine fact, which dispels the false thinking and also evidences the mental correction in improved human conditions. Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, makes this plain in her statement (MiscellaneousWritings, p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies."
