There came a time in my human experience when I seemed to be up against a stone wall, and I knew not how to surmount it.

Previously, I had read a few scattered paragraphs from a borrowed copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Although I was unable to quote the words, the statements had impressed me as being entirely above the ordinary, and this thought never left me.

Some months later I had a deep desire to own a copy of this textbook, and after purchasing one at the local Reading Room, I returned home very happy with my new possession, and began reading it at once.

I was not expecting any physical healing, but was searching for something to fill a void which nothing else could fill. However, after I had read for only a few days, a physical healing did take place which firmly convinced me that the book contained the truth for which I had yearned. Since that time, over twenty-five years ago, I have depended entirely on the teachings of Christian Science to solve all my problems, and have never know them to fail.

Recently, a healing occurred which gave me much cause for gratitude. As I stepped into the upper hall, the rug slipped from under my feet and I was hurled down the entire flight of staris to the hall below. Signs of broken bones and dislocations were much in evidence, but were instantly denied, for we read in Science and Health (p. 424), "Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of change to theproper sense of God's unerring direction and thus bring out harmony."

I arose without assistance, declaring, "I am all right." In tenminutes I requested my daughter to play Mrs. Eddy's hymns on the piano. While I was singing these hymns my thought was lifted above material existence to such an extent that a huge swelling on the wrist faded rapidly into its native nothingness. A shoulder which was out of place righted itself without any human aid, and with no discomfort whatever, and bruises and discoloration faded very quickly.

Three days later, a call for help from one in need came, and I was able to drive my car with ease to this home, carrying with me a more exalted conviction of God's loving care for His children, because of this proof of divine Love's ever-present healing power.

My daughter has enjoyed the priceless privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for over fourteen years, never being absent excepting when away on a vacation, She has never taken medicine of any kind, and has escaped all the so-called children's diseases, excepting measles, which was quickly overcome by the power of Truth.

For all these blessings, and the avenues provided by our for spiritual growth, including class instruction, I am humbly grateful. I am most grateful that I have never for a moment doubted the truth contained in Science and Health, nor have I ever had one thought of prejudice to overcome regarding the status of Mrs. Eddy ad Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and Leader of the Christian Science movement.
