Love's Protection

Cling close to God;
In silent adoration
Lift up thy heart and feel His presence near.
All fears depart,
Pure joy and exaltation
Surge into thought, when we His angels hear.

Love lifts us high
Above earth's drear confusion
Into the heavenly calm of peace divine,
Cleansing our hearts
From sin and its delusion.
Love heals our wounds with tenderness benign.

Trust God still more;
His help will be unfailing
Through every trial wheresoe'er we roam.
Love knows no fear;
In vain is error's railing.
Love guides, protects, and safely leads us home.
