True Being

"Being is holiness, harmony, immortality."—Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 492.

True being is holy, is wholeness, completeness,
Revealing God's allness, exclusively pure,
Expressing to all men in loveliness, sweetness,
The gospel of Truth, in which all is secure.

True being is harmony, allness in action,
The concord of sweet sounds subduing all strife,
Its melodies bringing to all satisfaction,
Thus feeding our thought with the true bread of life.

True being, harmonious, holy—immortal
Because omnipresence forbiddeth all sin—
Is calling to pilgrims approaching its portal
To hasten and reach for the glories within.

"The harpers redeemed from the earth," sing this tri-chord
In chanting their new song of radiant Love;
The echoes come earthward dispelling our discord,
The spirit of God with its peace like a dove.
